Thanks to the DPC technology in our Sharplight Omnimax laser device, we can safely and effectively target pigmented and vascular lesions on skin types I-V. Vascular lesions typically require 1-3 treatments, and pigmented lesions can require 2-6 treatments. Results can be seen after just one treatment in both cases.
Our patented DPC technology, which offers a blend of the benefits of a laser and IPL, offers effective treatment of telangiectasia, erythema, rosacea and broken capillaries by efficiently coagulating and eliminating small blood vessels. DPC has also been proven an effective, safe, reliable and fast treatment for a range of superficial pigmented lesions such as dyschromia, solar lentigo, mottled pigmentation and melasma. The treatments are comfortable and require no downtime. On some of the larger lesions there will be a feeling of a rubber band snap that is quickly gone. Our state-of-the-art Sharplight handpiece is actively cooled with a sapphire crystal to -8 degrees offering immediate relief.
Once treated, the lesions will take a few days to two weeks to be gradually removed. The pigmented lesions will initially appear darker and rise to the surface of the skin to be sloughed away. It is important to keep the skin moisturized and to not pick at them. For vascular lesions, it takes the body a similar period of time to clear away the coagulated vessels.

What will I feel during the treatment?The B-Shape T.M.C body sculpting treatment induces automatic magnetically-generated muscle contractions that cycle on and off during the treatment session. Each session has two 30-minute treatments with an initial test to set the levels correctly and a rotation or movement of the applicators to optimally treat the concerns of each of our individual clients. The feeling can be intense but not painful at all. With headphones on some of our patients have even fallen asleep.

Is there any pain or downtime?The treatment is not painful. The contractions are intense and take a few minutes to get used to, therefore we increase the intensity very slowly and monitor closely. You can resume normal activities immediately after treatment with no downtime whatsoever.

How quickly will I see results?It is possible to see immediate initial results after only 1-2 sessions in some cases. (Younger individuals and men have higher testosterone levels which help the body build muscle quickly.) Results build over the course of a treatment package, and continue to build after the sessions are completed. Optimal results are achieved within 6-10 weeks depending on age, gender, genetics and lifestyle factors such as diet and exercise.

How often can I do the treatments?Treatments can be spaced out as often as 2 days apart. For those with demanding schedules, it is no problem to space them apart by one week or even a bit more. The cumulative results will just take a bit longer to achieve.

How much does it cost?Our treatments range from $250+ per session depending on the number of treatments purchased (single vs package) and how many applicators are used simultaneously.

Will I be sore after the treatment?Immediately following treatment there can be a feeling of fatigued muscles in the treatment area. This subsides gradually. In the following days the muscles can feel stiff and/or a little sore similar to the feeling after an intense workout.

If it is like I did 80,000-160,000 squats, why don’t I have the soreness associated with that amount of exercise?The B-Shape machine has a program (pattern) of contractions that is designed to dissipate the lactic acid that would otherwise build up to very intense levels.

How does the technology work?The Magnetic Resonance technology induces “supra-maximal” muscle contractions that contract 100% of the muscle fibres in the treated muscle. These contractions bypass the brain and are much more intense than what can be achieved by voluntarily contacting the muscle with exercise.

What areas can be treated?Abdomen, obliques, buttocks, arms, calves, thighs, latissimus dorsi (lats), deltoid (shoulder) and pectoral (chest). Smaller muscles can be treated via our therapeutic protocol for rehabilitation - coming soon!

Who is NOT a candidate?Individuals with electronic implants such as a pacemaker are not eligible. Any of the following are also contraindicated: cancer, pregnancy, breastfeeding, fever, pulmonary embolism. Those with pulmonary insufficiency, heart conditions, previous stroke, in remission of cancer within 5 years, phlebitis and epilepsy are eligible only with their doctor’s permission. If you have metal implants, that area in particular cannot be treated. Similarly, treatment should be avoided in the areas of: a copper IUD (non-metal IUD ok), an implantable chamber catheter, bruise, wound, recent surgery, nerve damage, muscle injury or hernia.

Can I treat multiple areas at once?Yes! The B-Shape T.M.C machine has 4 applicators, therefore it is possible to treat the stomach and arms or calves simultaneously as an example.

What should I do post treatment in order to maximize my results?Drink 2 litres of water per day, eat “clean” protein, ideally 0.8-1 g protein per pound body weight, include “detox” tea or supplements such as milk thistle in your regimen. This will help the lymphatic system clear out the fat from the fat cells that the lactic acid has affected. It will also help the body heal the microscopic micro tears of the muscle that were created similar to the way an intense workout creates these tears. For the body builders out there: follow your pre-and post-workout regimen as if you had worked out.

Are the results permanent?No, similar to muscle gained by working out, muscle atrophies over time if not exercised. We recommend either exercising the treated areas on a maintenance schedule of exercise (less intense than a muscle-building exercise regimen), or coming back for one 60 min maintenance session once every 8 weeks.

What is the effect on the buttocks area specifically?The gluteus maximus muscle reacts by gaining volume and becoming firmer. It will have the appearance of looking lifted.

What is the effect on the stomach area specifically?The abdominal muscles react by becoming firmer, closer together if separated, and increasing slightly in thickness. These muscles are not “designed” to gain bulk. The end affect is a flatter and firmer stomach.
