Our philosophy is that anti-aging is all about prevention, and looking natural. Imagine if you could have the skin of ten years ago today? We can't change the last ten years, however going forward we can help to fortify and restore the collagen you have now. Why? Collagen and elastin fibres are the foundation of the skin, giving it the thickness, bounce and elasticity that we had when we were younger. UV rays and aging itself break down our collagen, allowing the facial structures to lose volume and sag.
 
Q: Why not just use fillers and Botox?
A: While there is a place for these treatments, neither one will address the underlying issue of a loss of collagen. They are both temporary. Botox freezes the muscle and temporarily avoids expression lines, only to come back in a few months. Fillers are also temporary, although longer-lasting. They have a tendency to migrate, and when overused (in order to make up for a lack of collagen) they can look unnatural.

By maintaining (and ideally increasing) the collagen in our skin, the full face, neck, and hands will look natural and youthful over time.

Q: How do we build collagen and elastin?
A: Contrary to what the beauty industry wants us to believe, it's not through creams and serums. While these can hydrate the skin and provide some benefits, they do not actually induce new collagen to form. We can induce the skin to build collagen and elastin by creating micro injuries in the skin through energy-based treatments. By precisely and selectively heating up the skin via Radiofrequency and/or laser energy, our skin jumps into repair mode and turns on the genes that repair and thicken the skin.  This increases cell turnover and also contributes to a bright and hydrated complexion. 

Q: What about micro needling and RF micro needling?
A: These are also ways of injuring the skin in order to generate new collagen. Our preference is to use energy-based (laser and RF) modalities since they are non-invasive and have almost no risk of infection. Our treatments are also zero-downtime and pain-free.

Another hallmark of youthful skin is an even complexion. Pigment and redness (vascular lesions, broken capillaries) can sneak up on us slowly, but surely. By addressing these with our precision laser treatments your skin will be further enhanced!
